Demolition costs?

Options
Hi all,
not finding much help on this on the net or various forums, and wondered if anyone can offer any help?

There is a 'Woolaway' - pre-cast concrete construction - bungalow on a plot we may be interested in and need some idea of costs to demolish. It's only around 60m2 with a separate 30m2 flat roof garage. Any ideas gratefully received :)

It will cost no more than the cost of hiring an excavator for the day, and it is likely that it would be demolished in only an hour or two. Enquire at a local plant hire depot.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

Any asbestos on the flat roof garage?
    :footie:
:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

    What about the foundations?

I guess you'd have to take care with the services (capping, turning off, not rupturing pipes etc), sorry to state the rather obvious.

Thanks guys. Wouldn't the foundation removal become part of the excavation costs - the site is on a slope so there will be more digging out than usual - which would be part of the build process anyway? I doubt very much whether a 1950's bungalow will have too much in the way of foundations.

we did the demolition of a 1930s detached house plus outbuildings on a complicated site (neighbours on all sides) so we couldn't just pull it down with a machine, the cost was just under £5k excluding VAT (services disconnected by service providers at boundary by others (going to be needed on new build) and even a very small amount of low grade asbestos removal and disposal off site. This included digging the foundation out to a maximum of 1m. The Asbi 3 survey was an additional approx cost of £500. Most of the stuff was crushed or reclaimed as we were in the midlands
