After a bit of gen.I have a Samsung Plasma TV that I can connect my external USB drives to (I have two of them,a USB powered one & a externally powered one) with USB.
Next to it I have my O2 Wireless box,which has a USB port on the front.
What I want to do is connect the USB drives to the Wireless box so I can stream the films/music/photo's to my lappy without having to lug the drives around with it.But I also want to connect to my TV as well.
I have managed to network drives thru the wireless box to the laptop no dramas there,but I was wondering if I could use a standard USB hub to connect the drives to the wireless box & a Ethernet/USB adaptor to connect the TV to the wireless box via one of the Ethernet ports at the back...
Thanks

It's unlikely that an ethernet/usb adapter would work correctly in that configuration.

What format is/are the HDDs? If the O2 box is anything like the BE box then it will be a Technicolor Gateway device that does not read NTFS drives, only FAT (32) or EXT.0

I don't think there is any way to share a USB device between two "hosts" at the same time.
What you might be able to do is get a usb switch box, which would let you manually select which of the two the drive works with.0 -

Similar but I've found this one;

Think it'll be the best bet.What format is/are the HDDs? If the O2 box is anything like the BE box then it will be a Technicolor Gateway device that does not read NTFS drives, only FAT (32) or EXT.
It's a Seagate USB HD Drive like the one below;

Currently got it connected to the router box & I can see & read the files with no problems.I don't think there is any way to share a USB device between two "hosts" at the same time.

Thanks,just found the one below & it looks the best bet,especially as the switch bit is on a long lead I can site next to the TV.
Anyway,thanks for all the help chaps,I'll go with the switch option.0
