Just search around a few newsgroups or speak to people who have bought Tiny computers before. Their reliability is suspect and back up when it does go wrong is abysmal.

On the other side of the coin, I have had a Tiny computer for 4 years and it went wrong within the first two weeks. It was repaired within 6 days and never had a problem since.
I hope I'm not tempting fate!
  • I'll stick with my Dell Misprice Thanks.

Bird called me today and said it was gonna be delivered on Monday - the 177 quid CRT model with the 3 GHZ.

I'll probably strip the parts and or make it a super test box.

That's not exactly top spec, would set you back about £30.

I would recommend that everyone avoids Tiny computers. They are put together with the cheapest components that money can buy which make them difficult to fix and also impossible to upgrade in the future. If you are looking for a reputable cheap PC look no further than Dell, or better still Mesh (https://www.meshcomputers.com) who are both excellent. Mesh in my opinion are better due to their superior customer service and technical help. The computers are marginally more expensive than Tiny but everything is branded and is easy to fix and upgrade.

Mesh Pc are undoubtedly well priced with good specs but my past experience of their customer services and technical support was not good.

But with Tiny I read that the modem is configured so it will only dial Supanet and no other ISP! it is possible to bypass this but it's not straighforward. You will also get charged if you ask Tiny for the fix!

Agree with above posts. Avoid TINY like the plague. Cheap prices, terrible quality and disgraceful helpline.

This is a classic case of "You get what you pay for"
