Flash Drive question

I have a 2GB flash drive which has been used a few times, but currently "appears" to have nothing on it. However, when I try to transfer files onto it I get a message that there isn't enough space! When I check the flash drive info there seems to be only a couple of MB free and yet there do not appear to be any files on it. I'm baffled! Am I missing something obvious? Any ideas please?

You have probably pulled the drive out at some time before the computer has finished writing data to it. If there is nothing you think you need on it, just reformat the drive.0
