any experience of ENCORE worktops?

We need to put in a kitchen into our soon to be built new house. We have been doing some research of worktops and really like a product called Encore.

HAs anyone come accros it and offer any opinion of durability, good/bad points on using it?

Haven't any experience of using it and would also be interested to hear on that. We ordered some samples and I found the visuals a bit disappointing tbh - and seemed to chip a lot around the edges. Don't think we'll go for it as a result.

Its a good product made by Bushboard, a well respected worktop company. 6mm resin on chipboard as far as I remember. Similar product is Maia but that is only 3mm and from what I have heard seems to scratch a bit easier than Encore. Out of the chipboard/ ply worktops with the man made resin on top Id say Bushboard is the best. Just make sure your fitter knows what he is doing and they are very expensive and you dont want to pay all that money for them not to be fitted properly.
A newer product on the market is Mistral which is 25mm thick and is totally solid ie no chipboard or ply. If you are going for undermount sink it may be a better idea to go for something like Mistral as the drainer grooves can be cut thick enough so they actually work. IMO they are more for show in Encore and Maia and the many others which are resin on chipboard as they cant be cut to deep without going into the chipboard.
Say that if you like Encore go for it as its a good product which looks the part as well
