Hi all been selling lately on ebay quite new to selling but i sold an old laptop on ebay that we havnt used for a while ,didnt go for much but seller contacted me to say they dont want it even though they bid and won via auction.
To be honest im not bothered about sending it because it still works and for the little amount it sold for id rather give it to my daughter but i am bothered about sellers fees etc .
Is there away so i dont have to pay these fees i dont mind the listing fee

wait 4 days then open a NPB case , if the buyer doesnt pay after 4 days the case is closed and you get your fees backThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

That sounds a bit hostile - isn't there another 'agreed to cancel' route?0
-
You can send the buyer a mutual cancellation if you prefer.
Although personally I would go down the NPB route as really buyer needs to learn you can't bid on something on a whim and then decide you don't want it, it's wasting people's time and they shouldn't have bid if they weren't sure.0 -
But can they still leave a neg?0

Not of you get the NPB closed without them paying
If you risk a mutual though they can decline and whatever they do they can leave you feedbackI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. You won't think that when you've had dozens of idiots win items and then decide they just don't want them anymore. Bid to buy. Sorry.0 -

What makes you think I haven't been in that situation? and I've never done it as a buyer btw.
In this circumstance though the OP seemed not at all put out and was happy to cancel so why go the 'hostile' route?0 -

The two options, well three are:
1. Do nothing.
2. File a NPB, wait 4 days, close, block, fees back, no feedback can be left.
3. File a cancellation - 3 more options:
A. They decline, no fees refunded and feedback can be left.
B. They accept and your fees are returned, feedback can be left.
C. They do nothing. You have to wait 7 days to close, you get your fees back but they can still leave feedback.
It's your call.0 -
I sent the buyer a message saying not a problem but i dont want to still get the fees ;and said id set up a mutual cancellation .
Which he agreed to so both of us are happy now
