Taking out money in Turkey

Hello, I'm wondering if you can help. I am going to turkey in 2 weeks and would like an easy and cheap way of taking out money abroad. I am looking at the Caxton global. My concerns are - they don't have exchange rates on their website, when I dug deep- they only give £1 to 1.24 lira (same as they euro exchange rate) when it should be double that (given via Facebook!). They are not answering the phones, despite the website saying they are open.... are they a trust worthy company?

£1 = TL2.80 for cash at most of the exchange booths in Icmeler and Fethiye a few weeks ago.

Utter nonsense. You were clearly digging in the wrong place.

Perhaps you could give some useful advice and tell her where to dig then.

I'm guessing the Global card, being a Visa, would use the Visa exchange rate. You should be able to find that on the Visa website.

You will load the card with Euros, not Turkish Lira.
