Sorry if this is in the wrong place, didn't know where else to ask.
I can no longer log in to my (one and only) Facebook account. It says:
Please complete a security check
Security checks help keep Facebook trustworthy and free of spam.
Use a phone to verify your account
The phone number you use can only verify one account. Once you enter your number, you'll receive a code that you'll be able to enter on Facebook to verify your account. Your phone number will only be used to verify your account and will not be shared with anyone without your consent.
Enter a phone number
I can't seem to get around it by clicking the home page as I can't log in. I don't have a phone number to enter!!
Any ideas?

If you're concerned about giving Facebook your mobile number then just get a free sim card and use that to verify the account. If you do then it's probably worth hanging on to the card in case you ever get asked to re-verify the account.0

Such a neat excuse to gather more information about you!0

Thanks all, will get a free sim card.
Why do they assume everyone has a mobile?0 -
when you get in, go to your accounts settings and click on the security tab on the left hand side and see if you have setting to login from unrecgonised device set to approval required. I have this set so if I try to login in from my mother in laws (for example), it sends a text message with a code for me to enter, so it knows it is me (if you see what I mean), that may need to be turned off if you don't want that option.0

Thanks for the suggestion, but my problem is I never get in as it just keeps asking for a mobile number. Even trying to trick it by going to the home page doesn't help because it won't log me in.0
