Can anyone help with with an annoying problem. I am an Orange Home phone/broadband customer. A few weeks ago my landline developed a fault and was eventually fixed - Orange -but BT engineer as BT lines. There was a fault at the exchange and engineer also said that there was something in the "Box" outside that he had to see to.
Now I cannot use my cordless phones??, borrowed an old standard corded phone and it works - no problems. have tried a few cordless phones and none of them work? I do not get a line at all. I have asked around and cannot find an answer to this. Obviously in this busy busy world, who can sit on a phone and just chat - some chance, you walk around your home, cooking dinner and doing all sorts of jobs as well, so without a cordless phone life is difficult. Orange eventually answered me after complaining as the call centre said - the line works nothing they can do. PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP - Thank you:eek::(

Orange are correct, your line and equipment beyond the master socket are not their responsibility. If it works with a corded handset then the equipment is at fault, not the line.
Sorry to ask the obvious, but have you plugged the base station back into the power socket? If so, test if there is power to the socket with another appliance. If OK, is the base station itself powering up?No free lunch, and no free laptop0
