my circumstances changed at the beginning of may so i filled out a new form and have been awarded a new credit (from working tax to child tax) this has just come through in the last 2 weeks..

today i get a letter, saying i have to check the previous year details are correct and sent back before 1st july...it basically just wants my income from that year up until end april 2012 and i presume they are sending my ex partner the same?

is this a standard thing, or are they just checking our wtc credits were correct? usually we used to get a letter yearly stating what the WTC will be and only to contact them if anything has changed..
totally a tog!:D

Sounds like the annual renewal, this is standard. You might have been on an auto-renewal before (where they assume an income range and you only need to contact them if their assumption is not true).

But usually they need your exact income for the previous tax year to finalise the award.
