Paying off loans with credit cards

Anyone know if I can pay off a Halifax loan with a credit card? They are closed at the moment so I can't call them to find out?

I found out I could pay off my Mini loan with a CC so I was very happy (most of it now on 0% :beer:)

Only if the credit card allows you to do a balance transfer to a bank account. You can then use those funds to pay the loan off

Just don't go onto the loans board, you'd have a heart attack, on there it's not only not their money, they've also generally been mis-sold it by some heartless financial institution that wants it back.

Thanks guys, just checked my Tesco CC and it has the facility to transfer to a bank account. Will this be counted as a balance transfer as part of my promo offers?
