Post Office Credit Card - Need to send proof documents. Have they accepted me then?

I recently applied for a Post Office Credit Card, as I am going on holiday next month and have seen it recommended on the MSE web site.
I received a letter asking for confirmation of address, bank account, a credit card statement and proof of employment.
Does this mean that they have provisionally accepted me, i.e. have done a credit search?
Or, does this mean that they need to confirm my address before doing the credit search?
Anybody have any experience or suggestions? Would be annoying to send all my documents off only to end up with a rejection afterwards!
Thanks!

Nope - usually they will assess the proof at the same time as they assess the application - unless the proof is deemed simply for confirmation.0

It just means they can't confirm your address details with the usual electronic measures and so want you to go down the old fashioned route.
You could still be rejected afterwards.0 -

Makes you wonder if they've even credit searched you as yet.0 -
