Hi,
Was wondering if anyone can give me a bit of advice, need to clear my hard drive as i'm selling my pc and obviously don't want anyone to be able to access bank account, passwords etc.
I've heard there's a disc i can download off the internet, would be grateful for any advice.

I ran a three month project for work several years ago, testing various methods of forensically wiping HDD's so we could safely dispose of council machines with all sorts of sensitive information on, including information on kids in care and patients with HIV, the one that provably defeated ENCASE, the police forensic tool was Evidence Eliminator 5. We used it for years on machines destined for scrap sale after that.**** I hereby relieve MSE of all legal responsibility for my post and assume personal responsible for all posts. If any Parking Pirates have a problem with my post then contact me for my solicitors address.*****0

Factory restore the machine or reinstall windows from disc, then use the wipe free space option of ccleaner, to stop recovery of your files.
Or if you have the windows disc, wipe the machine using dban, and reinstall windows.!!
