New Boiling Water Tap Query

I've had a new Franke Minerva Boiling Water Tap installed and when I turn the boiling water on it runs smoothly for a few seconds but then starts spluttering (although the volume of water it delivers remains consistent). So unless the vessel being filled is held quite close there's a risk of scalding. Do other owners have the same experience?
Thanks, Simon

Either its getting air in it or its heating the water too hot. Get the bloke back wot fitted it.

Simon.
Prob a bit late but this is what it's supposed to do. Its not a 98degree tap but proper boiling water which, by its nature, does spit etc. Apparently this was developed as at 98 degrees tea just doesnt taste the same...
KS Its not a fault neither is it an installation issue. All together now, "Always look on the bright side of life..." :whistle:0 -

Sorry to disagree old bean but that is the design. Coughing and spluttering is a direct consequence of it being proper boiling not near to boiling. Think kettle and how it does it as it leaves the spout. Problem for me is that situation is worse when its a small spout! All together now, "Always look on the bright side of life..." :whistle:0

Its a good thing about this place that we can disagree from time to time without getting into a bust up. However, (:D) I had the impression that the OP was describing a pronounced spluttering effect which points to a blockage in the tap. As it was so recently installed when OP started the thread and I responded my view was and remains that the OP should have called the installer back. But that was in June of course.

Fully understand old bean...
Oh it splutters all right! Splutters more than a midget with Tourette's ... All together now, "Always look on the bright side of life..." :whistle:0 -
I have had one for 18 months.
When you turn it on it starts with a bit of warm water then the boiling water comes up the pipe. That's when the spluttering starts.
Not a fault in fitting nor blocked tube.
Don't let kids use it as it is like a boiling kettle.
I love mine & couldn't live without it.0
