Ordinary car insurance after taxi insurance

Hi. I'm currently a private hire driver. When I came into the business I had full NCB on my ordinary car insurance but this was ignored for the purposes of PH/Taxi insurance. Fair enough....different and higher kind of risk.
Now however I'll be giving up Private Hire soon to become a full-time carer. Does anyone know if the same thing happens going back to ordinary insurance since I've got full NCB on my PH insurance (albeit only thanks to NCB protection!)? Will it be ignored again going back the other way?
Any ex taxi drivers out there who have experience of this?
Thanks folks. :)

Try Aviva (not a recommendation, but they do accept taxi NCD if it is in your name)

Yep, Aviva would be worth a shot. Some others who do both taxi and 'normal' insurance would probably also be worth asking.
