Insurance for Unoccupied Property. Panic! Please help...

Hi
To cut a relatively long story short, I recently moved out of my flat after buying a new property with my partner.
My flat is due to be rented out, as was my intention when I originaly moved out, so I took a landlord's insurance policy with a well known provider but they only cover 60 days worth of unoccupancy and cancel the policy after this.
Come the end of this month the property will be empty with no tenants.
Without coming accross as lazy, I simply haven't had time over the last month or so to decorate the flat and bring it up to a suitable standard for rental, work the shifts I work and settle in to my new property with my partner at the same time.
I've been dashing backward and forward to the flat over the last few days to tidy up a few bits here and there but also have a very hectic work schedule coming up in the next 2 weeks also.
Within the next month I'll have instructed an agent but I'm concerned this may not be done by the time my current 60 day unccupancy time period expires on the 26 June.
Can anyone point me in the right direction of an insurer that offers cover for unoccupied properties in situations such as mine.
I'm scouring the internet as we speak but am also relatively new to this sort of thing and am panicing like mad! in case my property ends up with no policy attached to it.

See if a local broker (not swinton) can help out with cover (though it may not be the fully comprehensive cover once the property has been unoccupied over 60 days)0

Is the building including the flat not already covered by a building insurance covering the whole block ?0

No.
It's quite complicated in that sense, always has been.
The block consists of 4 seperate dwellings which are all insured individually.

That's not a good way to Insure flats, lots of potential problems if the event of certain claims.

I'm already following this one.
So what would a landlord do in the event of unocupancy? Lets say if they couldn't get a tenant for several months?
Surely this isn't unheard of.
I'm really confused by all this. The situation surrounding the insurance of the flats has probably made this worse!!0 -
I insure (with Swintons) and my policy is fine up to 60 days between lets, then the cover reduces, and it's down to very basic cover. But still covered for major disasters.0

Who's the insurer?
Depending on the policy it may well be possible for you or someone else to spend a night or two there to break and restart the 60 day period.0
