Advice please for annual review for esa

18 months ago i given a medical for ESA (I was previously on IB) and was found fit for work, I appealed in June 2011 and won and got ESA (WRAG). My situation is still the same and my review date is 19th June 2012.

I was just wondering what will happen once this review date approaches?
Will i have to fill in another form and go for another medical?
Are everyone recalled for a medical every year?

I am so worried as the whole process caused a lot of anguish and stress last year.

It varies.
On (or around) your review date, your case is more likely to be looked at again.
When this happens, a number of things can happen.
These vary from the decisionmaker looking over your paperwork, and deciding that they don't need to do any more to see that you're still entitled, to requiring you to submit another form, then calling you for a medical.

Everyone does not have a medical every year, it varies depending on individual cases.

As per Roger. The reassessment timing is controlled usually by prognosis given by ATOS at previous assessment.. typically 6 months to 2 years. It's most likely you'll be sent an ESA50 to complete and then ATOS will determine if a face to face medical is necessary or if evidence from say GP may suffice or if sufficient evidence already available to provide advice to DWP.

My advice would be to prepare for any supporting evidence you can get to send at that time... evidence that supports whatever descriptors you think apply... your tribunal result previously may be good indicator of what descriptors should apply... although be aware the descriptors changed in spring 2011 (and so did the ESA50 form) and it isn't clear whether it was under old or new that you were last assessed.

As re-assessment is typically regular I'd suggest using the pdf version of the form available online to take a copy of. You'd need access to a printer as the form still needs to be physically sent to ATOS.
