AI Majorca Sept/Oct 2013 - Book now or late deal

Hiya

I am looking at booking our holiday for next year will be first time taking our little girl away (she will be almost 2). We have been to Bouganvilla hotel in Sa coma in 2006 andloved it just the transfer long. Also looking at Club Mac Alcudia Waterpark or Club Cala Romani also in Alcudia. From Birmingham.

Cheapest I have found Club Mac Alcudia is 2nd-9th oct 2013 1 week all inclusive booking room direct with them, transfer through resort hoppa and flights with monarch.

Cheapest for Club Cala Romani is through Alpharooms £657 (not inc transfers) 2nd-9th oct 2013

Cheapest for Bouganvilla is £919 17/9/13 (struggling to find for october).

I was wondering if anyone else can find cheaper or knows where I could. Is it better to book so early or wait til late next year? I would like to book now so somthing to look forward to. :D

Thanks!!
July 2013 wins: Lilac Skoot, Night out for 2 at Nandos & Cineworld
Best wins so far: £500, GHD styler, Tassimo T40 Machine

Personally, I would book flights as soon as you can find good prices. They generally go up rather than down! There are lots of hotels that will give you what you need, and you arent going peak season, so you could wait a bit longer to book the hotel.

That said, lowcostholidays offer 30 Sept 2013 for 7 nights at Cala Romani for 655 inc transfers.

I really don't understand what the point is in booking so early, especially going at an off-peak time. Anything could change between now and then, both personally and internationally. Someone was complaining in another thread that they'd spent a couple of thousand on a holiday but since found out the wife is pregnant and their new baby will be born just before the holiday!! Also with the state of Spain's economy and the Eurozone you never know what might happen...if they have to raise taxes they might impose a large tourist tax or something...or be out of the Euro by then.

I'd leave it till nearer the time - we've had some ridiculously cheap deals to Majorca in October by booking late.

Sorry we like to have something to look forward to by having a holiday booked. I understand what you are saying but tbh when we go all inclusive we dont tend to spend out and about as we make the most of the entertainment and food on complex which is why we choose to go ai to biggish hotel resorts.

Yes some sort of tax MAY be imposed but surely it isnt gonna be too much as they would then lose toursits which make up a lot of their economy and if they do impose some sort of a tax then crap happens in life and I would have to deal with it! Lol. I dont live life by what if's as I could just flitter life away worrying about the what if's. Lol. Also I managed to not get pregnant for so many years and even got married abroad and managed to not got pregnant then. Got pregnant when I tried, had a baby and now not trying again. Yest it could happen by accident but again I cant live life thinking too much of the what if's. Lol.

Well you did ask for opinions -
Is it better to book so early or wait til late next year?
So I gave you mine - far better to wait, and you can still look forwards to it, my last holiday was booked about a month before we went but we'd planned where to go on getting back from holiday a year previously (we always seem to decide then :)) and I'd been looking forwards to it all year:cool:

Yes and I appreciate that you gave yours, I was just giving my reply. Lol. We obviously like to work on different ways. I like to think, yes I am going there. I have been looking for this year and tbh there doesnt seem to be many deals and some of the places I would like to go seem to have no availability. I did get our last holiday in 2010 on a good deal, we were planning on going mainland spain but in may for the oct I booked a week AI in Mitsis Roda Corfu for only £747. Lol.
