I've samsung galaxy s2 from p4u, and still waiting for ICS update, does anyone know when phone4u when they will release the changes.

samsung release it and as far as I know have not set a date they have just said its happening

“Samsung UK can confirm that the roll out of Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) on Galaxy S II will be available from week commencing 19 March. However, the availability of software upgrades in the UK will be dependent upon each network’s own software approvals process.”

The ICS update for the Samsung Galaxy S II has now started in the UK. Three customers should have it on their phone by now, Orange has issued the following statement:

"We know you're all looking forward to the ICS update. We can confirm that it is being worked on for the Galaxy SII but we don't have a release date at the moment. We will tweet when we have more information or when we get information on other handset updates. ^Andy"

Talk to your provider, if this is the case that it has already been released by samsung.

Who is the network provider ?

Is it phones for you then ask them, if another provider then search the internet.

Hi there

as far as I am aware the ICS update can be done through Kies on the Samsung. If you download the Kies software for PC or Mac I think you can then update the phone from there.

Please be aware if you have sky go on your phone then this does not work with ICS at the moment

My ICS update on my Samsung Note was done over the air, I woke up one morning and I had a notification that it was available.

I got my phone from dialaphone who are part of P4U. I read on one of the Android forums that unlocked phones get the update notification first and locked phones get their's once the network has tested and approved the ICS upgrade.
