ok apart from the obvious i know i need doors and door handles :P
i have found the doors i want and measured my current doors to make sure i got the right size new ones and i see that they come with one lock block per door so do i need anything else? i think i will need new hinges as my current ones are plastic, is there any particular size i need for these or does it not matter?
thanks

Try to get the same size of hinges so that you are not having to check any more off the door frames or leaving a gap if you get smaller hinges.0

From hard experience - double check that all the doors are the size you think they are - I hadn't realised that the bathroom door was 3" narrower than all the rest (quite common apparently!). There was a rather amusing "ah" (or words to that effect!) moment (or at least I can see the funny side now - a few years later!) when we hung the door and it wouldn't close - having spent ages varnishing it etc.Adventure before Dementia!0

If you are new to hanging doors then go for solid wood doors, there is more room for error than with the cheaper hardwood framed doors. Once you have got past the frame on the cheap doors there is no more wood available for supporting the screws etc.
Always drill pilots holes and always measure how much you are planing off and draw a line on the door to show where you need to plane up to, draw the line on both sides of the door to help you keep your planing even. If you're not afraid of working up a sweat use a normal plane not a power plane, it's too easy to screw up a door with a power plane, they can take a lot off very quickly.
