Blu-ray home cinema systems (ideas)

googler - who said anything about TVs? This is about a few hundred quid towards audio plus a Blu Ray player.
trets77 - Oh yeah, HDMI can actually be a bit of a curse, and can totally be done without.
And all those sound modes? Never used. Amps have been around for a long time and lots of old ones sound fantastic. Always go for sound quality over some features that may never be used. One feature you might want to stretch to is an Audessy (or other various names) system, where you plug a mic into the amp and play lots of wierd noises to help with setup, this is a very useful feature, and has been included in Home Cinema amps for years now.
They're monsters alright, half of them wouldn't fit my setup!0
