Hi,
Just after some info. We are currently insured on a traders policy (price doubled from £1500 last year to £3k this year) we are 3rd party only. I have been searching for a better deal but not sure where to look. I have 9 points on my licence all for speeding over 4 years (6 points this year on the same day - yes bad I know) my partner has 6 points, 3 for using mobile phone, 3 for overloaded vehicle (too many passengers) both lots were in the last 2 years.
We had a none fault accident which I have declared. My partner has a conviction from when he was 16/17 which I have declared to my current insurer but unsure if I have to declare it or not so did so to be on the safe side, the sentence was over 2 yrs I don't know if that makes a difference?
We are wondering if anyone knows of anywhere that might be even slightly cheaper considering our situation? (I doubt it but worth a try right? )
We have had our licences for 4 years.
Our car is worth £5k if that makes any difference?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks
