What price for a Taxi Journey

Its one thing to get ripped of by taxi companies when you travel abroad, but can anyone tell me AND/OR suggest a taxi company in Stanstead? I will be staying in a hotel prior to travel and I have been quoted from £10 to £15 for a taxi journey which is less than 4 miles!!! I live in Luton and all the taxis to the airport from anywhere be it a Hackneyed carriage or a mini cab will only charge by the mile. UNBELIEVABLE!!!:mad::mad::mad:
