I have Sky Broadband LLU, I'm currently using an old Sky Netgear DG834GT router that picked up for nothing, my original Sky router gave up the ghost a while ago but I'm reluctant to pay £40+ or so for a new one from Sky especially as they're not that great anyway.
Yes I know you're not supposed to use a 3rd party router and that it can invalidate my connection etc. No, I can't phone Sky and threaten to leave because I'm already 6 months into a 12 month contract (long story, switched from BT line rental to Sky after price hikes)
So can anyone recommend me a router that has better perfomance than the Sky ones but is not too expensive? I'm not bothered about wireless coverage I'm all wired either direct via ethernet or Home Plugs.

Recently in our local paper a couple were advertised for £10 and £15. They were Sky originals.0

I have this, can't fault it and cheaper than the big name rivals."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

I wouldnt recommend a Belkin from my experience. Im still using one and Ive had a couple of Belkin routers (3 in fact, a replacement they sent me didnt work) and I wont be getting another one.
With my first one I had to phone their technical support helpline in India around 40/50 times. The support on the phone was excruciatingly slow as if the advice was loading on a screen their end after every piece of advice or response. A bit like Fonejacker.
This is only my experience and they could be great for other people but I wont be going near one again in the future. Good luck!0
