Ebay can't even block newbies now - I would check yours!

:o Don't know if its him or not but one of my friends has a newbiee on his auction (which he hates! 0 feedback). He even stated on the Buyer Requirements who have a feeback score of -3 or lower he did tick this to block out new buyers. So then how come this buyer is bidding on his auction with out permission?????????. :o

Ebay never let anyone block 0 feedback bidders.

You can only block low feedback bidders if they don't have a credit card on file.

By the way - how would -3 block out 0? 0 is more than -3....

the -3 or lower box is only to block bidders that have a minus feedback...doesnt block zero bidders...

Hey come on, everyone has to start somewhere. He could insist on a paypal a/c as a bit of a safety net. If people with zero feedback couldn't use e bay how would any of us have got started!

Blocking minus feedback is different - I do that as it just seems like common sense to me. I also block bidders from countries I don't ship to so as to narrow down chance of people bidding incorrectly but you can't want to block newbies!

  • I thought it was just bidders with unpaid item strikes you could block - not ones just with zero or worse feedback.

As has been said you cannot block zero rated buyers, you can however block those with an overall negative feedback.

Well I think your friend should remember that at some time in his e bay history he was a newbie with 0 feedback, and some kind soul allowed him to bid on their items and slowly build up a feedback rating

So why should he want to ban a 0 feedback newbie from bidding on his items we all have to start somewhere
