Warning to card tarts! Lloyds cancelled my card haven't used it for 12 months!

    That's what I'll have to do then. Need to try and find them in the drawer now- don't even carry them with me!!
  • It's a different world now. Lenders look more closely at available credit, usage, balances elsewhere. You won't find a lender who play fast and loose with credit anymore, not in the mainstream markets.

    I have to say its the first time I've actually personally encountered the "squeeze" in action! (think it probably offended my ego a little- I've had a great credit rating, never in any financial strife, pay my not inconsequential wages to them every month, they've happily afforded me a £5000 overdraft limit across my accounts and I was fully intended using their current balance transfer offer!)
