Well the week has gone very well so far would normally have done at least a couple of small shops by now, but have made a real effort to use up things we have and get creative! Its time to withdraw the £200 for this week but don't need to today! We have survived the week on the £4 i had in my purse on Sunday!
This morning we have been baking and have made chocolate muffins (that are rather huge due to me adding 2tbs of baking powder when it was supposed to be tea spoons!) some vanilla muffins, a loaf is in the bread maker and we have rustled up a chicken pie for dinner! In the baking mood now and have loads of baking supplies nearing their use by date as have been in the cupboard for so long! So any suggestions of what else to bake would be great! :-)debts to clear... £1074.84 cleared so far! What a difference keeping my eyes on the ball makes! Didn't manage to stick to the £200 last week will try again starting week 2 today! I did manage to do some extra work though so now need to sit down and work out what we spent in total for week 1. I think once it passed £200 we gave up and thought we would start again today but this is not the way to think! Will update when I have the total :-(. On a good note pleased with the amount we have cleared so far and ready to crack on.debts to clear... £1673.44 has been paid off so far! Feels so good to watch those numbers go down! Having a few issues getting hubbie completely on board as he doesn't seem to really get the whole £200 a week thing and cant get the fact that any other purchases also need to come out of that £200 averaged out!debts to clear... Dont get too disappointed you were over the first week, as you get more use to the new budget it will get easier. Although if DH is not completely on side it will be a lot more difficult x x0

Is it worth showing DH this diary so that he can understand what this means to you, and how concerned you are he perhaps just doesn't get how important this is to you.
You have made payments though and that is always good even if it's not as much as you hoped.:)

Thank you :-) I know we will get there in the end! Think we have managed to pay off more than planned even though we did go over as I earned a bit extra, I'm getting a bit addicted to making payments now! Need to look at the next few months as a whole I think so I don't get disheartened and go off track in August as this is the month I don't earn much but averages out over September/ October! Do you have diaries? I could spend hours reading through them all! Does feel good to be properly aware of our finances! I downloaded a money program and put all of our bills etc in so its nice to be able to look ahead at what the balances will be if we stay on track!debts to clear...
