Tesco Multibuy discount still working on reduced items

Got 4 packs of the 'buy 3 packs for £10' lamb steaks reduced in Tesco today.
When I checked the receipt ,£2 multibuy discount had been taken off at the end.
I wish I could carry more as this worked out at less that £1 a pack!

Often happens - Sainsbury does it as well. You get the MB at the discounted reduced rate - but same effect. If that makes sense.0

With Sainsburys, it only works if the product is BOGOF. Not with products that are £3 each or 2 for £5.0

knew about the indian / tapas one as often find 3 or 5 items reduced (love it) but didn't know about the meat multibuy so thanks. I will keep my eyes open from now on.3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!
