Tesco Multibuy discount still working on reduced items

I never new about this but I accidently found it this evening

I bought 3 reduced tapas for 50p each and I got 150p off - freebies!!!

so of course i returned an picked up some more tapas for the Eire v Spain game

Yes, worked for me this evening too, on 5 yellow label reduced items in the 5 for £9 range, a pleasant surprise as I didn't know for sure it would work.

I thought I understood how this glitch works, but had never tried it until today.

I bought two packs of chicken breast & mushroom things, they are on offer for 2 for £6.00. So, when I seen them in the reduced section for £2.59 a pack I figured I would get a further reduction at the checkout because they had the 2 for £6.00 sticker, but I was charged £2.59 a pack.

Have I got it all wrong?

This glitch only works on items that are offered in different multibuy options. So in this case, the Tapas / Taste of India items are 3 for £6.00 or 5 for £9.00.

The extra reduction won't be applied on items that are just 2 for £6.00.

Ah. Thanks for clearing that up. Think I get it now... sorta.

Will keep an eye out for reduced items like that. Although it's crazy reading on here what some people are getting reduced items for (even before the glitch!). My local Tesco only take around 20% off the item's original price!

Thanks for posting, OP - first I've heard of this.

So, just to make sure I'm"getting it" - the glitch best works when the Tapas/Taste of India items are in the reduced section and not full priced or multi-buy price?
