Santander transferred money without permission

About a month ago I gave Santander a request to transfer some money from a different ISA account into one of their ISA accounts, after a couple of days I decided to change this amount and was told to cancel this request and create a new one. So I cancelled it.
I then got an email saying you don't need to do anything and it will be taken care of. A few days later I go a letter saying that they were proceeding with the transfer, so I phoned them up and was told not to worry it was a mistake and it will be stopped, so I left it. Then a couple of days ago I got a letter saying that the cancelation was complete and I do not need to take any further action. Today I looked at my old ISA account and noticed that they had transferred most of this account into their account.
I am very unhappy about this because I was reassured several times that all would be fine. Is there anything I can do about it?

Where do you want the money to be. When you wanted to change the amount did you want to transfer more or less money.
If more, just transfer some more into it.
If less, just take some money out.
Unless Im missing something.
Sorry but apart from anything else Santander has a terrible name on these boards for being incompetent.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

It is a fixed rate account, I can't take the money out without a 120 day interest penalty.0

if the money transferred into the account is acceptable, and you really dont need it, just leave it there.
But I would write a letter of complaint about what has happened and see what they say.
When your 2 years are up, to be honest, I would transfer it out to some other bank who knows what they are doing.
My daughter and my self, over a period of a year had endless problems with ISAs and change over of current accounts from HSBC to Santander. Now I wouldnt trust them to move furniture let alone money.
Any furthe rinstructions for them, do it in writing.
Good luck.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
