Best budget 10 inch capacitive tablet?

I'm in the market for a budget 10 inch tablet.
I'd like to keep the cost to under £130 if at all possible, but at a stretch £150 but no more.
I can claim the VAT back, so potentially those figures can be + VAT but i know a lot of ebay type sellers / importers arent VAT reg.
I guess i want at least 1GB RAM, min 8GB drive and capacitive screen.
Whats the best?
Thanks in advance

What's anyone's opinion of the Archos Arnova 10.1? It seems to have some decenty reviews, but I haven't managed to get my hands on one to have a go myself, but certainly seems to fit within your requirements pgilc10

Hmm... this looks promising. Any thoughts?0

I've been playing with this at work: http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/archos-arnova-10b-g3-tablet-4gb-12818435-pdt.html
For the money, it's rather fantastic. The screen is good, and it seems quite nippy. The only downside is the limited number of apps it comes with (no Play store, but that can be added with a bit of tinkering - you do get Appslib though). Oh, and the sound is shocking. May be only 4GB, but it does have a micro SD card slot and you can get a 16GB microSD for not much more than £10.Squirrel!If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

Tanglefoot that sounds promising too, might have to hang on a bit to read a few proper reviews before going for it...0

Esqui that's what I was talking about at post #4, but have only seen it in store, haven't really had a chance to tinker with it. Odd screen shape? As for sound, can you plug in external speakers?0

My local Harvey Norman has a sale on, and has reduced the Toshiba AT100 to £229. I had a wee look at it yesterday, though they hadn't charged the battery so I didn't see it working, and though its pretty chunky in your hands, the spec seems pretty good and I like the fact that it's a more regular shape than the slightly elongated Archos Arnova.
Anyone tried out the Toshiba?0 -
Anyone tried out the Toshiba?
I've been reading about its successors. Put me in mind of Goldilocks - only with tablets instead of porridge.- AT100 too big
- AT200 too small
- AT300 just right?
