Still no Fensa Certificate 3 months on

I recently had two new DG windows installed in my house. I had used the company before to replace some glass in a previous property without fault and currently having no problems with the work they have done. The only problem is 3 months down the line, I still have not received the FENSA cert. I have spoken to the company a number of times and they said will get the cert to me soon, as they are changing insurance providers, but it never appears.
The company say they are FENSA registered on their website and in their quote they had the FENSA logo printed on the paper. However, on the FENSA site I cannot see them listed.
Although nothing has gone wrong, I am a little concerned that I now have no guarantee or warranty. On the back of their install I also recommended them to my mother in law and she has hired them for some work too, so could be in for trouble if they turn out to be a bit dodgy.
Any tips on what to do?

A bit of paper is meaningless. Just check at the council that it has been registered0

My Fensa certificate took 5 months to arrive. You can check on the Fensa website by entering your house number and postcode and it will tell you when the work was completed and if and when a certificate was issued. http://www.fensa.co.uk/asp/certificate.asp
Hope it helps0 -

I had a similar problem and after 3 months I complained to FENSA who responded as follows by email:
I would suggest you speak to this FENSA registered installer & remind them that they are meant to register completed installations within 20 days of completion. Give them a further 24 hours to action , if not actioned within this period please respond to this email with an official complaint of non registration for us to escalate.
Worth a try ?
(And if they're claiming to be FENSA registered and they're not - even more reason to tell FENSA about them !!)0 -
Just to give an update.
I finally got round to contacting Fensa about them and they say the company has ceased trading. This is despite the fact that they are still trading and I was in their shop complaining about the lack of Fensa cert the other day! They have taken deposit from my mother in law for new windows who ordered them a while ago before I started getting annoyed with their constant diversion tactics!
They are still advertising membership of Fensa on their website, shop front, vans and headed paper, so I have told Fensa about this.
I take it I have no guarantee/warranty on the windows I have had fitted now!? Luckily they seem to be fitted very well and I am pleased with them, but would like the peace of mind that everything is above board!0 -
Usually i hold on to a reasonable amount until works completed and paperwork provided. You need to agree to this arrangement whilst negotiating to avoid misunderstanding. Reliable and professional individuals are happy with the conditions.0

I will next time! I, as well as my neighbours, had used this company before with no problems. So had assumed there wouldn't be any trouble.
