short term loan

Hi

I've just been made redundant (voluntary, im very happy!) but i don't get paid my redundancy until 13th July.

on the 20th June my bills come out as normal, but i will only be getting half my wages paid in on this date, so need £1500 short term to ensure all my bills etc are covered until my redundancy is paid.

those 'pay day loan' places are just extortionate and i wondered if anyone has any advice. i tried for a temp overdraft online on my bank account but it says im not eligible (I don't have the best credit rating) any one know what i can do?

What about doing some agency work till you get another job ?

You need an income to get a loan.

Your bills total £3,000 a month? £36,000 a year? Gosh!

I'm guessing this must be mainly debt repayments. Perhaps your only realistic option is to skip, or pay reduced, payments this month and make it up next month.

I'm wondering how long your redundancy money will last. Oh, and I see you're having a baby is a few weeks. Congratulations, but oh dear!

Wouldn't recommend it. You also will find that a new payday loan won't loan you as much as £1500.

What bills are due for payment on 20th June?

Depending on what they are I would look at either contacting the places you will be paying to see if you can push back the payment by a couple of weeks, or to explain you can only afford to pay half now and half in a couple of weeks.

Likely to work out a lot cheaper than a payday loan.

So in less than 20 minutes, the OP makes up her mind - a payday loan! Doesn't believe in taking her time to explore all her options.
