Last purchase price not showing up on sold house price sites?

My sis-in-law bought her house in 2008 and is currently selling it. I wanted to be a bit nosey and find out what she paid for it without asking her directly so I went searching for it, but none of the usual 'sold house prices' websites have the 2008 sale listed on them, but they do have the previous 2 sales of the property in 1999 and again in 2004.
Any ideas why this might be?
Thanks in advance.

Our house purchase doesn't show up on any of the websites either. We bought it last September and when it hadn't shown up by last month I queried that everything was done correctly with our solicitor. She told me that there was an option to not have the sale publicly recorded and while they hadn't asked for that option it may have been applied in error. She also said that sometimes they just didn't show up because of human error entering it on the part of the land registry. Either way, its not something I'm going to be too bothered about correcting as it sold for well more than we paid back in 2006, lol. We have all the proof of title change with the land registry so that's all that matters I guess.0

Well that explains it then! Thanks!0

Land Registry have been capturing and recording price paid data for a number of years.
Not all house sales are recorded but all residential sales for full market value should be. But as Tempestina correctly states human errors can occur whereby such data is not recorded. Errors are often identified either through internal checks or when customers advise us of the error, which they can do via our website's online report form.
There is however no option available to not have the sale publicly recorded.
More informtion is available in our Public Guide 7 - entry of price paid or value stated in the register, which can be viewed online at the Land Registry website“Official Company Representative

Mine was a cash buy in 2010 and is still not listed...I do wonder why..It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0
