First JSA Payment

Hello.
I received my letter on Monday from the Job Centre...saying my claim has been accepted and I can be paid £86 a week (£56 standard rate for 18, plus £30 for disability (bipolar disorder and Asperger's Syndrome).
On this letter it said that they can pay me Job Seeker's from the 22nd May (around the time that I went for my first interview/sign on). Today I went into the Job Centre to sign again and speak about what I've been doing to find work. I asked when I'd receive my first Job Seeker's payment at the end, and he told me that it should be within the next 3 working days.
My question is...if on the letter they said they're paying me JSA from 22nd May (when I first signed on), will my first payment be backdated to this (3 weeks)? Or will I still only get one week's worth?
Regards.
