Existing Halifax account £100 for switching

I was in the branch to pay money in and mentioned my main account was with Santander. The woman said if I switched my main account to halifax I could get the £100 offer on day I switched.

I've since looked on the site and it clearly says existing customers are not elligible to do the transfer.

Does anyone have any info about this?

If you already hold a sole account and no joint bank accounts with the Halifax the only way you are entitled to the £100 switcher incentive is to open a New Joint Account.

If you hold an existing Joint Account but hold no sole Bank Accounts you must open a New Sole Account.

In addition it must be ALL D/D's *minimum 2 required* and Credits from your existing account with another bank.

Do not listen to the branch members, they are extremely ill advised when promoting these new deals and you will end up ultimately disappointed.

Or close your sole Halifax account, wait a few days then re-apply for a new one.

In the past they have had in branch switching incentives for existing current account customers who do not use them for main ac but afaik this is not available at the moment.

If anyone hears otherwise I would be very interested to know.
