I'm going to haven thorpe park in July with my husband and 4 kids (3,10,12,13), just wondered other than the pleasure beach what things there are to do in Cleethorpes as i've never been before

Apart from the Beach and Pleasure Island, There really isn't much to do in Cleethorpes. I think the only reason Cleethorpes isn't derelict dump like such places as Rhyll is because of Pleasure Island and it's proximity to South Yorkshire (everyone there can get to Cleethorpes in less than 1 hour).
On the other hand, Haven Thorpe Park is a nice little site and although expensive (on site) there will no doubt be lots of activities available. I personally think their crazy golf course is great.0 -
we went to Haven Thorpe Park at half term - and found tons to do on site...without spending a fortune..
We spent at at least 3 hours a day in the pool / lazy river / flumes. I took 3 swimming costumes for each of us so that they could use the pool more than once a day without having to wear wet costumes! We found the lazy river was warmest later in the afternoon when the sun had been on it for a bit. My kids would have happily gone to the pool for both morning and afternoon sessions. But as we also have a dog i made them get out of the pool and explore the beach.
The beach is great and the kids spend 2 to 3 hours a day on the beach. Lovely sandy beach and sanddunes to slide down.
Plus we did one of the free activities each day - Nature Detectives Walk, Circus skills, skipping skills... there are loads more free kids activities you can join in with.
The kids did one paid activity a day - aqua jets, adventure golf, kart hire.
We had such fun on site we did not get to explore the area but have another Sun deal for Thorpe Park booked for late Aug...
