Balance Transfers When Unemployed

Hiya, can anyone tell me if there are any cards that you can transfer balances to that don't ask for employment details? I'm currently "Inbetween jobs" and paying interest on my current cards.Am I better off waiting untill I'm "employed" or "self employed".I don't want to pay unnecessary interest but on th eothe rand i odn;t want to ruin my credit record by applying and getting turned down purely because I'm not in employment at the moment. Not sure which road to take
My current cards are Egg and Egg blue and I did have a Capital One and another card(forgotten which one:o ) that I closed down last year as I wasn't using them.
p.s How do they determine your credit limit?.Is it similar to banks where different banks have different limits?
Thnaks in advance:D

Hi
I think you are better off waiting until you have a job before applying. If you have a card with a lower interest rate transfer as much of the debt to that card to reduce interest payments. You can get a free copy of your credit rating from experian. Don't apply while without a job. The applications will almost without doubt be rejected...0 -
All cards ask for your income .. now it may be worded slightly differently, i.e. some ask total household income,so technically you could include the income of everyone in your household, including benefits etc...0

Thanks for the replies,I thought that might be the case. The APR on the Egg cards is around 14%. My bank have pre approved me for a loan at 9.9%,which would save me money at the moment but obviously not as much as if I could transfer to a no interest credit card.Decisions,decisions....0
