Any solicitors able to give advice??

Is there any solicitors who can advise me if a letter that has been written over my partners joint mortgage is legally binding and sounds ok? So we can literally book an appointment with the Ex and get it signed by him, the ex and solicitor? Thanks

Your partner should speak to a solicitor and ask them to draw up a Declaration of Trust to set out their agreement on equity and expenses. She will also need her own solicitor to advise her on what she's being asked to sign.

ETA:
The ex will not be able to take herself off the mortgage by the way. Your partner would need to remortgage into his sole name (or joint with you if that is appropriate). The Declaration of Trust should include a provision dealing with selling up if he cannot do this within a specified timescale.
