Unprofessional DSA Pearson test centers

Hi,

Wish to seek some advice here:

My brother hass tried to take a DSA theory test for the 3rd time at the Pearson Test Center, basildon

The center has refused to allow him a test again as they "feel" that the picture on the photo card does not match him!!

Its strange as everyone else including strangers on the street are sure that its an exact match. He has same picture on his passport, his banking and other documents from the Home Office also verify his identity but Pearson don't want to know!

After last investigation, he was advised to change his photo and get a new photo license and offered a free test by Pearson. He went to local post office's photo machine last month, got a new photo of himself and booked another test for today, but the "same representative" at the Basildon test center did not let him take the test!!

He was given an incident number again and advised to contact Pearson (Sarah and Peter) who have again given 3 options:
1. Get a new photo, new license, new booking and risk going to center again.
2. Pay and book another test on the same photo license and go to test center again.
3. Await another investigation for 10 working days. He went for this option last time and it took Pearson 3 months to respond.

He has already lost a job due to this delay and would most definitely miss another offer. He has an Indian driving license which has now expired (for UK use) and he has been trying to take a test to get a UK license for 6 months now.
He is really upset and depressed and I want to help him in anyways I can.

He has written to DSA before but have been told to contact Pearson who again want us to contact DSA (going around in circles).. What are my other options? Should I get him to write to them again? Contact Citizens Advice Bureau?

Any constructive advice would be highly appreciated.

Thanks.

I'd find a new theory test centre!

You can do everything correctly, but if one individual blocks you, for whatever reason - professional or personal - what can you do?

Go and see his MP, it might be one of those cases where an MP having a word in someone's shell like gets it sorted. But as said try a different test centre.
