in Credit cards
I have a DD to pay off the minimum amount on my CC, however I was also chucking in manual payments too to split a large purchase over several months. I finished paying that this month (1st June) so my CC balance was £0.00. However my DD date is today, and the minimum amount has been paid in due to DD being set up so now I'm in credit.
1.Will the minimum continue to be paid even if I'm in positive?
1a.If yes, why do they keep making payments when its not necessary?
2.Should I cancel my DD if I'm not planning on using that card?
3.Will I get charged for not making making any payment to the card if its at £0 or in the positive?
Thanks.

1. No
1a. N/A
2. I wouldn't cancel it until you close the account, but bear in mind that if the DD isn't used in (up to) 13 months it will lapse under the 'dormancy' rules.

And just to add to what YorkshireBoy said...
Unless you were paying off a 0%APR card you will see interest appear on your next statement. This will cover the period from when your previous statement was produced until 1st June when you paid off the balance.0 -

without the full details its difficult to say but if you are making manual payments as well as minimum DD payments, then that was probably because of a timing problem
i.e. you made you last manual payment too close to the DD date so it went out automatically
next month, if there is no interest to pay then the DD will not be taken0 -
