Daisy - The Proactive Marketeers!

Just posting re our experience with Daisy Communications for the benefit of anyone considering using them, or indeed anyone with them right now who has noticed their bills creep up.
We have had 3 lines (no broadband) for our business with Daisy since 2008. I am now in the process of extracting ourselves, and moving to a new provider.
They started off great, very cost effective, much cheaper than BT.
Over time, so many add ons have been sneaked in, that is no longer the case, for example extra charges for paper bills and no direct debit.
Plus what they call "pro-active marketing" and I call "thieving" . For example, I suddenly noticed what we are being charged creep up, and after some investigation discovered charges for caller divert and caller display that we had never requested (including on a fax line!). Oh, I was told (eventually), that was our pro-active marketing. We wrote to you and told you we were adding it to your account free for 3 months and then you would be charged automatically. CYNICAL, GREEDY behaviour!
We are currently sitting out a 3 month notice period to escape from the clutches of these Proactive Marketeers. I don't recall ever agreeing to be tied into a contract with Daisy where we had to give 3 months notice to terminate the contract, but I am told that since we signed up with Daisy (which we did over the phone, not online), new terms tying us to the same have been posted online and we should have gone online and read them.
Maybe they cared about customers when they were new and building the business. They seem to have lost that hunger now and just become greedy!
