A Cautionary Tale

Options
Some months ago there was a report in the Daily Telegraph about a re-emerged computer virus. As my machine was operating very slowly at the time I decided to find out what i could about this virus (AVG have been unable [very rarely] to help previously.
Having Googled the virus name, some software called "Spyhunter" seemed to be the answer. I downloaded this and set it to scan my drives, expecting there to be a charge to actually disinfect them.
I was right: a charge of Eu 29.99 + VAT was to be levied for "Spyhunter" (for 6 months). On March 25 I completed the transaction, and within seconds received confirmation that Eu 59.98+VAT would be withdrawn from my card. The additional sum - also for 6 months cover - was for "Reghunter Euro" about which NOTHING had been said. I requested BY RETURN that the extra should be immediately refunded, but heard nothing from them until I emailed again on March 28. On March 30 they wrote
"Hello Malcolm, thank you for using SpyHunter!

We have forwarded your refund request to our billing department and they are processing a refund for the charge."

As at today, June 13, there has been neither contact from them, nor refund. If you should feel tempted by either "Spyhunter" or other software from Enigma Software Group USA, LLC

I would urge you to scrutinise the small-print at least twice. Have you had any dealings with ENIGMA?
Any suggestions how I can apply pressure on them from the UK?
Thanks

I'm not sure that is spam exel1996, seems to me they are trying to WARN others about misuse - taking money from cards they have not been authorized to do! I fail to see how this is spam? They need to print the company concerned to alert prospective buyers of the software they bought and ended up scammed with extra charges through.

Thanks for the heads up OP
