Not only has poster forgotten how to speak English but he wants us to move via Australia-is it me?????:)0

Removal men for us the last time we moved. :j
I would never do it myself again. Far easier to stand back and watch them do the work.
No hassle of hiring a van and trying to get the mates round either.0 -
Unless you go with the looper in post 12 Mike although you may get a free trip to Auz!!!0

The last time we moved we hired a van and relied on mates - big mistake!
First off, on the morning of the moving day the van rental people said that the high-top van I'd booked wasn't available so I could only have a smaller Transit. Which of course stank of diesel and I had a rotten headache the next day... Then one of my 'friends' cried off with some lame excuse which made for extra work for the rest of us (it's okay, I've forgiven him...eventually!).
It was a bad day; it wasn't like we had a lot of stuff moving from a 2 bed terrace but it was a long hard slog going back and forward, back and forward tempers slowly getting frayed...! So after the unexpected extra runs and extra donkey work we decided that if there was a next time, a removals company is the only sensible option.0
