single trip travel insurance needed with grandson

I am travelling with 10 year old grandson, single return trip to Spain
( I have annual insurance with bank)
Last year did same trip and had to take out cover for myself and grandson in order that he was covered with Post Office for £8.30
this year they want £27! for same cover - no medical problems, straightforward cover
Can anyone recommend insurer that will cover Adult and Grandson at a reasonable rate?
thank

thanks for info, yes I tried MSE and other comparison site, but without going in depth into terms and conditions of each quote, not sure if any would cover me and grandson..I wondered if anyone else had been same situation0

Since you have annual travel insurance (check that it is valid) you only need insurance for your grandson. Not many companies sell travel insurance for a child without insisting on insuring the adult travelling with her/him, but I think the Post Office is one that does offer this service. Try getting a quote for insurance just for the child, and you should get a reasonable amount.0

I also have travel insurance with the bank, but when I try to insure my daughter it is more expensive than insuring the two of us together! Get some quotes for both of you, it may very well be cheaper.0

I think this is what the OP is doing, but really he needs to try both approaches!0
