Hello all,
This might be a 'how long is a piece of string' type question, as when I look around the internet, there appears to be many variables.
I want to watch some of the live streaming of the Euros on the bus on the my way home from work. Is there any approx answer that tells me how much data that might use per, say, every 10 mins?
I get a good 3g connection all the way, so there's never any issues with buffering, etc.
I'm on a contract with 500meg, so I obviously don't want to smash it out of the water when I could just catch up with the footie when I'm home!

I can't answer directly, but as someone who has a prepaid 3g allowance I know that watching films etc. eats it very quickly. For that reason, I mainly just surf and never watch videos or internet TV, download music or play games.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

Impossible to say exactly, depends on quality of video, device, servers etc.
but wouldnt expect much left from your data bundle watching an hour of the football.
If you can wait, i would!0 -
Or change your contract to an unlimited one like giffgaff or three0

Yeah.
I'm coming round to that thought. They're going to have to sort that out though, aren't they, as surely doing stuff like this is the point of 3G and more-so 4 g, if it ever happens.
There's no point in having the network, as I guess I have here, and not be able to use it's prime function!0 -
Yeah.

You can, unfortunately you have to pay for it though! Or at least be on a contract with unlimited usage.
My problem is the 3g coverage or lack of it but things can only get better!0 -
I'm surprised nobody's been able to answer this, even roughly. Maybe they're not sure what "smash it out of the water" is supposed to mean!
On this page click 'download options', which will give you
the figures for 3 different qualities of this 27-minute programme.

I'm presuming you get 500MB per day, right?0 -
I don't know what 'Smash it out of the water' means either, and I said it, but I'm sure you get the, rather macho, idea.
'stenders is 128 MB on the Iplayer in low quality! EFFING HECK!0
