Quote for cleaning fascias, soffits and guttering

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know the rough price to clean soffits, fascias and guttering?
I'm finding it hard to find any threads on this. Instead, I'm finding lots of quotes for new upvc. Also not many hits for actual companies or people who do this.

Obviously it will depend on the size of house - as a rough guide we have a 3 bed semi of average size. All upvc.

I'd do it myself but a) I'm not great with heights and b) I don't have any ladders long enough to do the job.

Has anyone experimented with pole-type cleaner (pole with brush or sponge on end with water passing through)?

It's th kind of thing a local handyman would do. Or your window cleaner. It's probably a mornings work so you should get change from £100

    Much change? :)

I've been quoted almost exactly £100.

We had ours done last week by our windowcleaner he charged £45, for gutters, soffits, facias, garage door and of course the windows. Didn`t think that was too bad (it was filthy) 3 bedroomed average size semi.
Not sure if I would have paid £100 to me that seems a lot.

I plan to get another quote. If it's nearer £50 I'll go with that. If not I'll ask around to see what neighbours have done in thpast/get comparable quotes.

Last year, a man with a van and ladders knocked at our door as he was "doing some other houses in the road" and offered to clear out and polish our UPVC guttering. It is white and was looking a bit green, so he did the lot on a 4 bed detached for £50. Of course he "just noticed" that the cement was falling out around the ridge tiles, but I told him we didn't need it doing then. He appeared again the other week. Told him the guttering was still good after his last clean, but did get him to re-point the ridge tiles this year - and replace a broken tile he noticed while he was up there. £140 and there's no way I would even consider sitting atop my house.
