Can you get both P45 and P60

Hi,
If you have been made redundant and got your P45, should you still get the P60 for the same year?

Yes. Having said that, I've very rarely had a P60 in nearly 35 years of working..... many companies simply don't send them out. Theoretically, at the end of the tax year you should have a P60 for every employer you've worked for in that tax year... and no P45s in your hand as you'll have either handed them into a new employer or to the dole office.0

No P60's are only issued to current employees. If you change employment part way through a year you hand your P45 to your new employer and the figures from the P45 should show on your P60 under previous employment.0
