But is okay for the OP to judge those of us who prefer to work hard for our living rather than expect hand outs?

I'm getting sick of living and letting live. The OP has a few autistic traits and if her user name has anything to go from she's managed to make it to 23 without working a day in her life.

At 23 I was studying for a masters, working full time and juggling multiple disabilities. I don't see why a few autistic traits should allow someone to not do a days work in their life and now they're pregnant with no means of bringing up their own child financially they get to sit at home until they are 28 and never work a day - what a system we have!

I have claimed benefits briefly in the past, and while doing so I would not have slated working parents as not caring for their children.

I am not smug because I dont claim benefits, I am cross that the OP thinks its okay to jump on the 'working parents are the devil' bandwagon.

Might as well be the rules the way this country is going.

Have been meaning to ask, GlasweJen, you mentioned before that on your previous DLA form, the consultant wrote that your life was limited and you stated that you saw no reason to inform the DWP, following transplant, that the prognosis was no longer life-limiting.

Out of interest, have you now rectified that?
Dear Lord, I am calling upon you today for your divine guidance and help. I am in crisis and need a supporting hand to keep me on the right and just path. My mind is troubled but I will strive to keep it set on you, as your infinite wisdom will show me the way to a just and right resolution. Amen.

I rectified that the day I went into hospital as per protocol. I spent more than 28 days in hospital and even the DWP managed to work out that transplant = not dying any more.

If you look through my posts you'll see that I was on middle care, low mobility then went to high care with high mobility (special rules), nil award due to over 28 days in hospital then middle care with high mobility when I got out because I became paralysed from the middle of my back down due to an accident in hospital.

We actually had the conversation after your transplant and it is something I wondered on as I mentioned to you that the DWP would know you had had the transplant when you said you was not going to inform them that your life was no longer limited, but thank you for your response.

Hopefully you are not going to be permanently paralysed. After everything else, that doesn't seem very fair.
