JD sports won't edit my order??

i just placed an order on the JD sport website. I chose all the correct sizes and colours but once the order had gone through noticed the colouring on one of the items wasn't what i wanted!! I quickly rang them up and was asked, can you edit the order to the correct colouring? i was told no. I then asked, well can you cancel the order and i will reorder? I was told because I had ordered at 7.40, it takes 30 minutes for them to go through on the comp system and that would be 8.10 and they shut at 8pm. I then asked if i ring up tomorrow, can i cancel the order and was told no because the order would have gone through and been dispatched by then? If i want to return them i can, but at a cost to me? what disgusting customer service. My only other option now is to not accept the order??any advice??I'm outraged!

They said they couldn't cancel it for me? I asked could I cancel it tomorrow and they said no, that it would be out for dispatch! I've also heard if i don't accept the delivery, they can charge me for the postage??0

Can I return my order?
If you've paid by credit or debit card just pop down to one of our JD Sports stores Nationwide, take your despatch note and the goods you want to return, and the store team will be happy to offer you a refund or exchange.
Unfortunately, we can’t take orders paid by PayPal back in store. This includes all orders placed on our Mobile site.

Could do, but the point is i shouldn't have to?! The colour i wanted was the default colour on the picture but once the order had gone through, it switched to one of the other colours
(a less popular colour), they could be doing this to get rid of those colours ?

I doubt it 'switched'
more likely a misclick along the way.
You can try and fight them or simply take the easiest route.

Its in stock (the colour I wanted), I would have had to change it on the drop down menu and i know i didn't? I would understand if the default colour had gone through and i wanted a colour from the drop down menu but the opposite occured.0

Have you gone back and tried to add the same item to your basket? If you have and it changes colour again take screen shots to prove it0

Just tried doing that and its coming up with the correct colour now(on the picture). I did notice though that when you put your card details in, it doesn't list the colour. And then in the email afterwards it lists the colour.0

I do believe if you inform them within 7 days of delivery that you want to return it under DSR then they have to refund postage... I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong?:beer: Been smoke free for 4 years!! :beer:0
